Split testing is one of the most important exercises you can do when designing and marketing your site. Not only is testing one of the hardest things to do, it is often times one of the most expensive, why? Because you must have a substantial amount of traffic to your site in order for you to determine if the changes you have made have been because of the test or the increase/ decrease was because of some other anomaly i.e. You have an increase in sale or traffic after you change your headline, but don’t take into account that an affiliate just sent a broadcast to it list of 10,000 people.
