If you need a script to protect your download pages against thieves than keep reading! Protecting your product download page may be one of the most important tasks you can do. Why? Anyone that downloads your product can then share their download link with their friends or anyone else they choose to. Those links, if posted anywhere, can be picked up by the search engines and indexed. From here people can find your download page simply by searching for it. We, at Black Book Project have used DLGuard with great success.
The DLGuard script, once installed, creates a secure admin area where you are able to build your protected links. First you must choose the options that you want to be applied to your site. You have a few options; you can choose a secure single product sales process, the built in shopping cart option, or the membership site module. For each option there is just a few main components that you will need to provide, and DLGuard does the rest.
You are taken through an easy step by step guide for set up, all you need is to fill in the following fields:

The product name.

The URL to the product image.

URL to the product file IMPORTANT: The DLG program creates a ”dynamic download URL” that is unique to that particular client. If the download URL is mysite.com/download/yourproduct.zip your client will see a download URL like mysite.com/sytnod&=3. This link can be controlled from your control panel to expire so after a set time will no longer be a valid URL.

Number of download attempts allowed, which limits the client only a limited numbers of time the download URL can be clicked.

Select type of product i.e. paypal, clickbank etc DLGuard supports most major payment processors.

Bonus product download (Optional) allows you to add a product that you want to be on the download page that you are giving away as a bonus.

OPTIONAL: Custom script URL, DLG will POST sales details to this URL at the time of the sale.

Cost of product for sale.
Depending on the payment processor you choose there may be one or more options, but its very self explanatory. Once completed DLG will give you a snippet of code that you place on your thank you page, and it also provides a link that you use as the “BUY” button URL. And your really done.
For the membership script the above is duplicated, but you simply click the “membership” tab and fill out a few more fields. It will then give you the code and instructions to integrate the membership module into your pages. Cannot be easier.
